SUMMER 2010

I haven't updated this blog because of my busy and tiring shifts, just decided to wrap up all the highlights of my summer for this year.

For the month of April, we volunteered for a Medical Mission sponsored by our High School Alma Matter and The Davao Lion's Club. The activity was stressful yet very meaningful in such a way that I feel blessed and it feels so good to be able to help other people who are in need. Our efforts were very much paid off by the abundant lunch and snacks donated by one of the influential groups in the city.

With my High School Classmates and the Top 5 for the NLE 2009: Miss Renomeron

When my boyfriend's sister visited, I also got to chance to join their family bonding during an island hopping in Samal. His family is very nice to me even from the start as well as his Ate who had a lot of "pasalubong" from make-ups, chocolates, starbucks tumbler and perfumes, we even went to the salon and mall (and i knew my boyfriend was annoyed because he could not relate. haha!).

It was also during this month when me and my boyfriend went to Seagull, Buda because he really felt that I was so stressed out and tired. Although we are together almost everyday, we always find time to take trips and out of towns to unwind from the tiring jobs that we have. The place was relaxing because of the cool breeze and peaceful environment. We woke up very early and enjoyed the foggy morning with a great breakfast, pancakes and cinnamon-apple tea.

For the month of May, I personally experienced the hassle of the Elections. I just came from work and decided to take a nap because I knew for a fact that a lot of people are already in the precints waiting for their turn to experience the first automated election. I was at my grandparents' house that time and I woke up when my boyfriend called since he was on his way to fetch me. When we got there, it was 2pm and I got the 300plus priority number. Disappointed and tired, we bought ice cream with junkfoods and went to the Memorial Park where we visited my father's tomb. We took a stroll and decided to eat "deep fried hito" and "kinilaw". And thank God, when we came back after 3 hours, it was already my turn. I finished voting in less than 5 minutes and find it more convenient compared to the manual elections.

The summer ended with our 1st year celebration together. We went to samal and spent time in one of the exclusive resorts there. I personally enjoyed the infinity pool and the beach. I am looking forward for the succeeding celebrations. :)

Other activities I forgot to mention was my Blood Donation at Red Cross, Our team building at Kaputian and my Dinner Date with College Friends.
