News against Madame President flooded during the past few weeks. The extravagant and luxurious dinner in a French Restaurant at New York City earned a lot of criticisms not only here in the country but on the said state as well. While most of the Filipinos are experiencing starvation, the “respected” personalities enjoyed a meal worth 20,000 dollars or 1 million pesos worth of food and expensive wines. According also to GMA’s tax and property declaration, her wealth grew by 114% in the past 8 years in the course of her position. As the Philippine economy continues to go down, the first family is said to enjoy the rapid progression of their properties, stocks, business, and a lot more source of income. Aside from this, the Philippine General Hospital is facing a big threat for closure due to the unpaid electric and water bills ranging for more or less than 127 million pesos. The explanation behind is said to be the small amount of budget allotted for the health services and promotion of the people wherein if deeply analyzed, health is one of the most important aspect concerning the Filipinos. The Cheaper Medicines Act is also facing a lot of controversies before being implemented. These are only a few of the CONTROVERIES faced by the present administration governing our country. As the election is about to come, have each and every one of us pondered and realized that most of the politicians we place in the positions are insensitive and are not really dedicated to give the “service for the Filipino people” they promised and imparted during campaigns. Until when will these government officials make fools out of the Filipino nation? One thing is for sure, the country is in great need of someone who can make a big difference for the Philippines. *SIGH*
